Cancer Therapy Prescribing Systems Administrator (Nursing)

    About the role:

    We have an upcoming opportunity for a Cancer Therapy Prescribing Systems Administrator to join us for 12 months, part-time (3 days p/w), based at Icon Group Head Office in South Brisbane. In this role, you will support the best use of the CHARM Oncology Information Management System across Icon Cancer Centres to deliver safe and efficient patient care. 

    Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the configuration and maintenance of the CHARM databases
  • Independently provide professional judgement through the review of cancer treatment protocols and the development of treatment pathways within CHARM
  • Manage the pathway approval process, in collaboration with the protocol approval group, to ensure up to date, evidence-based treatment is practised at all times
  • Assist with the development, review and delivery of policies and procedures to underpin the safe and effective use of CHARM
  • Develop essential training material, including CHARM training plans for nursing, pharmacy, clerical and prescribing users
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting material and deliver initial and ongoing training and education to all users
  • Receive and manage support calls relating to the use and maintenance CHARM
  • Collaborate with the Information Systems team on any defects, enhancements, updates, infrastructure issues and planned system testing
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of the Charm SharePoint page
  • Actively participate in future planning for sites and their use of CHARM, including reviewing feedback relating to potential practice improvement strategies
  • About you:

    We are seeking an enthusiastic team player who possesses high attention to detail along with strong problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to efficiently prioritise workload and be able to develop strong working relationships.

    Skills & experience:

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in oncology/haematology
  • Previous experience using CHARM as an end-user or as a system manager
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
