Salary package: $107,475 – $143,433 plus 17% superannuation

Crawford School of Public Policy is a School within CAP and is Australia’s premier public policy school, with recognised world-class expertise and experience in economics, political science, environmental management and development, and on key Asia-Pacific countries, especially China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as Australia.

The Australia–Japan Research Centre (AJRC) is a research unit within the Crawford School and is the centre of research, teaching and outreach on the Japanese economy in Australia. The Opportunity

The Research Fellow or Fellow will undertake independent and collaborative research with the Australia-Japan Research Centre’s Director, Associate Professor Shiro Armstrong as well as other university groups and initiatives that intersect with their interests.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have appropriate higher degree qualifications, maintain a strong research profile and make scholarly contributions to current policy thinking, analysis and debate in AJRC’s fields of research.

The Research Fellow or Fellow will have a particular focus on economic analysis, preferably directly related to Japan, or showing a strong understanding of the Japanese economy, and will work as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes other academics and professional staff, maintaining close links with academic experts in related fields, leading practitioners in government and with other important stakeholders.
