It is responsible for the strategic deployment and support of information and communication technology, to support the University in teaching, learning, research and outreach. IT Operations is responsible for maintaining a regular, consistent, efficient and reliable ‘heart beat’ for all IT production services, to ensure they seamlessly enable the University’s core business. About the RoleInformation Technology & Digital Services is seeking to appoint an Analyst Developer who will be is responsible for analysing and documenting customer business and data requirements, working with customers, project team members and suppliers to develop software solutions most appropriate for their needs. The role is also responsible for ensuring that these products adhere to University architecture, frameworks, policies and standards to meet the strategic needs of the university. This is a full-time, fixed term position until 20 Dec 2024 located at the Hawkesbury (Richmond) campus. About YouThe successful candidate will have demonstrated effective leadership in providing information technology services within a large, complex and rapidly changing organisation; and have extensive experience, supported by relevant qualifications, in: Working with customers, project team members and suppliers to develop appropriate software solutionsAt least three-years’ experience in contemporary technologies and practises in maintaining and supporting a portfolio of application services throughout their operational lifecycleExperience with cloud deployments into AzureAdhering to the use of a recognised framework such as ITILCandidates will have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including teamwork and customer service skills. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a record of enthusiasm and willingness to develop and implement customer-focused solutions with a broad understanding of application support within the context of web, business solutions and research domains. Skills and Experience Specific experience for this role includes; Linux environments support and maintenance; Software Source Control and deployment systems; strong vendor liaison skills for SaaS Services and cloud implementations. A broad understanding of end-to-end application support including web services; networking, firewalls, etc. As well a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills is a must for this position. Technology background should include Linux, PHP (Laravel), JS (React, Vue), SQL (MariaDB), API development, integration and scripting. Cross platform, monitoring solutions, CI/CD, containerisation, or experience, in observability platforms (e.g.SPLUNK, SPL etc) knowledge is highly regarded. Ensuring applications, services and products adhere to the University architecture, frameworks, policies and standards to meet the strategic needs of the university.
