The Company

We are working with a legendary Australian brand, home of some of the most iconic brands within the FMCG landscape. They are a large player within both the ready meals and frozen foods.
Having recently been acquired, providing a significant opportunity for them unlocking further investments in their market leading innovation, brands and manufacturing. With both a Retail and Foodservice arm, there’s currently over 100 employees of them in Australia. 

The Role
This is a 12 month fixed contract, reporting to the Head of Marketing – the Senior Brand Manager will be a key contributor to the development of strategic customer-focused brand plans, high profile marketing programmes and product innovation. You will be responsible for ownership of some of their most iconic brands selling into both retail and foodservice.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Head of Marketing to own brand strategy development, brand DNA, product development and other marketing initiatives
  • Using consumer insights and clearly defining brand guidelines, work with the team to launch new, quality product to market and support the innovation pipeline
  • Developing strong packaging architecture; managing packaging portfolio projects end-to-end from design to market roll-out
  • Developing and executing marketing activities to support brand and category strategy, in conjunction with the wider marketing team
  • Working with internal teams and third parties to support ATL (in-store), BTL digital and media tactics
  • Owning competitor insights and product assessment – including product, pricing, sales etc

About you

  • The successful candidate will possess 5-6 years brand marketing or product development experience working in the FMCG industry or similarly transferable FMCG business. 
  • You will be a commercial marketer with experience working across brand strategy and P&L.
  • Working knowledge of ATL / BTL advertising & promotion. Working knowledge of the Australian media landscape
  • Demonstrate solid analytic skills which involve compiling data, identifying trends, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
