Aveo is seeking a passionate and energised Events & Activities Coordinator to join the Redlandsby the Bay Retirement Resort, located in Redland Bay QLD. Reporting to the Community Manager, you will work both collaboratively to coordinate events, activities and services for the residents. In this fantastic community, you will motivate, engage and enable residents to participate in a wide range of experiences including physical, social and community-orientated activities every day! About the role at Redlands by the Bay:

  • Permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday. 
  • Coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive and exciting events to our residents on a regular schedule
  • Deliver an activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connections
  • Create schedules and newsletters highlighting upcoming events 
  • Be the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.
  • Complete general adhoc duties including (but not limited to): attending staff meetings and general administrative tasks

To be successful:

  • Previous experience in developing group or individual programs, coordinating activities or events experience (desired)
  • A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors
  • Possesses a high level of communication and organisation skills.
  • Be creative – we want someone to create FUN activities!

About you:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (desired but not essential)
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccination (required)
  • Current Police Check clearance (required, but we can complete for you!)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required or obtain prior to commencement)
