The Role

We currently have two exciting opportunities for a Field Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team and work across both our Veterinary Instrumentation (Vi) and VetQuip businesses. Vi provides veterinary practices in Australia with a complete range of veterinary orthopaedic instruments and implants. VetQuip is a veterinary distributor that specialises in supplying our customers with an extensive range of veterinary products from anaesthesia, monitoring and surgical lighting and instruments to orthopaedics and much more.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth of Vi and VetQuip product lines, achieving sales budgets and working collaboratively with other sales professionals across the Covetrus group. This role would suit a surgical Vet Nurse or Technician, or Vet who is keen to remain in the industry but is ready for a change out of clinic.

Please note that we are recruiting two positions. One position will be based in Sydney and one position based in either Melbourne or Perth. This position will require travel within the greater metro area as well as assigned regional runs. Successful applicants can anticipate travelling away from home for at least one week per month.

Your main responsibilities will include –

  • Driving the success of Vi and VetQuip product lines through a consultative, in person sales approach and the delivery of technical excellence.
  • Actively promoting and assisting with demonstrations and training for both customers and internal sales team.
  • Attending Veterinary Conferences and promoting assigned product lines.
  • Preparation and coordination of lead demand-generating marketing activities while establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel in key customer accounts.
  • Monitoring and reporting on monthly and yearly client activities and sales data.
  • Processing customer orders and requests, ensuring our CRM system and records are regularly updated and maintained.
  • Collation of relevant market and competitor information.
  • About You

    To be successful you will have;

  • Previous experience and knowledge of the Veterinary industry including knowledge of technical products, surgical procedures etc. 
  • Previous sales experience in a B2B or veterinary environment (highly regarded though not essential).
  • A self-starter attitude and a drive to achieve.
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic with the ability and want to go ‘above and beyond’.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence.
  • A customer service approach, ensuring professionalism is always maintained.
