    About the role

    Cairns Wellbeing Centre – Pat Gosper Place is an accommodation centre providing a welcome home away from home for patients and their carers, who travel from some of the most remote parts of Far North Queensland to receive medical treatment in Cairns.

    Be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties in guest rooms and public areas in accordance with required standards, to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction during their stay.

    What you will bring

  • Ability to effectively conduct all cleaning duties as required using the provided equipment, cleaning products and tools, while demonstrating competency and understanding in Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, including chemical use and storage
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure the achievement of individual and team goals
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high performing team with an excellent eye for details
  • Ability to communicate with a cross section of the community, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with sensitivity
  • Reliability and strong work ethic with the availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and school/public holidays as required
  • Ability to understand and respect confidentiality
