About the role:

Experienced and motivated Cleaners are encouraged to join our team across various sites throughout Tasmania, with availability to work Weekdays and Weekends.

  • Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
  • Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
  • Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
  • Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
  • Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner.

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, you also:

  • Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
  • Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
  • An understanding of infection control procedures
  • Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • Current and required flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • A current Working With Children’s Check
  • Have Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
  • Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church
