Due to experiencing an exciting time of growth and targeted investment across all our properties, The Star Sydney is currently looking for an Electronic Maintenance Technician to join our Property Operations team on a full-time basis.

About the role

As a Carpenter Maintenance Technician at The Star Sydney, you would work alongside over the 60 Technicians and skilled Handypersons who are part of our Property Operations team, undertaking responsibility for maintaining all aspects of our Sydney property.

Being part of a dynamic and multi-faceted business, our Electronics experience a great deal of variety during their 12-hour day/night shift. They go from using industry leading technology to build, service and repair Table Games Gaming equipment to supporting fellow trades with maintaining building finishes & joinery in our gaming areas, our food and beverage venues and hotel rooms across the complex.

Additionally, the role will see you:

  • Repairing and maintaining all building finishes & joinery, but not limited to:
  • Table Games Gaming equipment   
  • Hotel rooms
  • Restaurants, Bars & Venues  
  • Commissioning and testing of assets
  • Assisting with relocation of assets across property
  • Reporting and documenting work through mobile application

About you

  • Certificate III Carpentry/Joinery Trade Qualifications or equivalent
  • Current NSW Contractor/Supervisor Licence
  • Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays as required)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as you work with a diverse guest base
  • Polished five-star grooming and personal presentation
