Job Description

your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment
  • Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guide
  • Maintain food stock levels
  • Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards
  • Implement Food Safety Program
  • Liaise with management and facility staff
  • St Helen’s Private Hospital has been providing high quality healthcare to Hobart and the broader community since 1919, and is located in the picturesque Hobart CBD. It features a 31 bed inpatient unit and Mother-Baby unit, as well as a variety of outpatient day programmes and outpatient care opportunities.

    Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
  • Available for shifts over a 7 day roster including weekend work
  • Experience in hospital or hotel food service environment preferred
