About our Us: 

The Administrative Support Officer role sits within the Estate Security & Safety (ESS) team and supports all business areas across UNSW Canberra with the remit to maintain and improve our Faculty. 

About the Role: 

Role: Administrative Support Officer  
Salary:  Level 4/5 $71,629 – $88,407 plus 17% Superannuation 
Employment type: Full time, 35hrs 
Term: fixed term and continuing 
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

As a member of the ESS team, the Administrative Support Officer will contribute to team initiatives and promote productive working relationships with Faculty and University colleagues, Defence and industry stakeholders, visitors, and students. The Administrative Support Officer provides administrative support and assistance to ensure effective delivery of estate, security and safety activities across the Faculty.

Our ideal candidate will: 

  • have the ability to work both independently and effectively within and across teams to build relationships to deliver on outcomes
  • have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and interact successfully
  • provide administrative support across all ESS functions e.g review, process and enter transactions
  • arrange, support, promote and participate in meetings, inspections, projects and
  • cooperate with and promote all health and safety policies and procedures of the University.

Eligibility: 

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • undertake pre-employment checks and obtain a medical certificate stating they are fit for manual handling prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description.
  • work from the UNSW Canberra campus. 
  • be an Australian Citizen.
