We are seeking a Senior Human Resource Business Partner to join our clients team and provide a comprehensive human resources advisory service for leaders and employees in allocated divisions/portfolios. As a trusted business partner, you will contribute to organisational people initiatives and utilize the resources from talent acquisition, learning, and safety to provide a high level of service for our customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the employee experience for allocated divisions
  • Managing grievance processes and conducting IR/ER investigations
  • Provide strategic advice and ongoing support on employee relations issues, dispute resolution, and industrial advocacy
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiation and consultative processes
  • Maintain relevant, accurate and forward-thinking HR policies and procedures
  • Conduct complex investigations ensuring legislative compliance, due process, and fairness
  • Assist team members in driving a high-performance, values-based work culture
  • Support new ways of working and continuous improvement within HR
  • Participate in recruitment and selection processes as required
  • Monitor and evaluate staff induction and exit interview feedback and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide advice and assistance to leaders in the resolution of employment changes
  • Assist line managers in the development of position descriptions for specified divisions
  • Assist line managers in the application of the performance management processes
  • Support leaders in utilizing available technology to support their people leadership efforts
  • Lead the implementation of organizational programs or activities, which may include topics such as culture, diversity or employee experience

Key Competencies:

  • Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment, providing human resources advice
  • Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and build effective relationships
  • Understanding of federal employment legislation and applicable state legislation
  • Knowledge and understanding of workplace investigations
  • Demonstrated capacity to promote and uphold People & Culture values, including discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
