This opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Developer early in their career who is truly looking to gain experience in a dynamic and diverse work environment. Along with being mentored by one of our team members to develop your industry skills and experiences, this role will take you through new and exciting challenges that will help you grow and develop. Essentially, you will be working as part of the team of developers that focuses on back-end systems across the business. You may be involved with assisting project work in line with assigned priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing internal applications. 
  • You will be involved in developing and supporting projects or systems by utilising Java, Apache and Linux technologies.
  • You will be expected to follow best software development practices and procedures.
  • Maintaining/updating critical operational support documentation as part of project deliverables.
  • Effectively collaborate and communication within a team spread across multiple locations. 
  • Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline. 
  • Excellent programming skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. 
  • Experience with Java language. 
  • Experience with XML/JSON and SOAP/REST.
  • Experience with SQL for database query and table design.
