In this exciting role you will be working on OneSky – This $1.2 Billion project is the most complex transformation of an Air Traffic Management system in aviation history. OneSky will establish, commission and support a Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS) and revolutionise existing Air Traffic Management technology.

Working closely with the Project Security Manager, Project Managers, Engineering staff and Configuration team as well as with key support roles within the business, the Information Systems Security Manager will act as the Information System Security Officer for the OneSky Program.

In this inspiring role you will establish, maintain and enforce a robust Information Security framework to ensure ongoing compliance with the program security and technology control requirements across multiple Thales entities and Subcontractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the information management security processes, including the maintenance of the policy for the projects sensitive and classified systems

  • Implement and verify of Thales and OneSKY Information Security policies and procedures and maintenance of all information security measures, including audits, staff training and investigations framework

  • Ensure that contractual, legal, regulatory and Thales internal compliance and governance is achieved as it relates to information security and technology control

  • Identify security improvements or risk related to the projects sensitive and classified security information management systems

  • Acting as the initial point of contact for Security Information management policy and procedures

  • Report and investigate ICT security incident/breaches related to project sensitive and classified Information systems and prepare and conduct (or coordinating) corrective action plans in relation to any identified breach of Thales Australia obligations

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and must have relevant work experience in a similar role supporting or managing security information security procedure implementation for sensitive and classified systems in a Defence project setting and within large organisations

  • Ideally Software Engineering background/ Configuration management background or related

  • Must have knowledge and experience in development, implementation and management of DSPF, PSPF, and ISM related policy, practices and procedures in a large complex project involving multiple information systems and a complex stakeholder environment spanning the civil and Defence aerospace sectors..

  • Experience with management and interpretation with security classification and categorisation documents in a complex engineering environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers and partners

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strongly focused and self-motivated to overachieve goal
