THE COMPANY
Part of the renowned LK Hospitality Group, Omnia is a comfortable and elegant bistro and bar located at the base of Capitol Grand in South Yarra, one of the most iconic corners in Melbourne.
Created by our award-winning Executive Chef, Stephen Nairn the Omnia menu features seasonally changing produce which inspires our dishes.
The Omnia bar consists of classic drinks joined by a cocktail menu of bespoke botanical-inspired beverages with flavours ranging from floral to earthy notes.

THE ROLE
We are seeking a full time Production Sous Chef to join our team with previous experience in a similar establishment. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with our Head Chef to take responsibility of managing the team in our busy kitchen, work with incredible local and seasonal produce and take your career to the next level.

THE MUST HAVES
You will be a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a similar venue, ready to further your career and better utilise your culinary skills and develop managerial capabilities. Alternatively, you will be a driven and passionate Chef De Partie with at least 3-5 years’ experience in the role, looking to take on your next challenge! You will hold a trade qualification, be task driven and used to working in a fast-paced environment.
  
 In addition you have:  

  • Excellent communication, delegation and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and take direction
  • In-depth understanding of Food Safety & Hygiene Practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creativity around menu development and food presentation
  • A naturally positive demeanour
  • High standards and expectations within the kitchen
