Human Resource Manager or Senior HR Consultant

You will be responsible for all HR matter in this medium size global Japanese company in Sydney CBD office. This is exciting role for dedicated HR person. Our client is looking for a person with enough HR experience and manage overall HR matter in this organisation.?Someone with Japanese language skill or with an experience working for Japanese companies is preferred.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits;
  • Consult HR matter to group companies
  • Lead projects such as implementing new rules, staff review and new Pandemic rules etc.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as recruitment, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates;
  • Process payroll on time and ensure accurate cost allocations;
  • Administer superannuation contributions to ensure legislative compliance;
  • Monitor and review the system of performance appraisal and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and followed up;
  • Monitor sickness and absence levels and make reports to management;
  • Keep up to date with legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors, update documents required by Head quarter;
  • Recruitment, interview and select applicants to fulfil vacancies;
  • Develop, implement and maintain company policies and manual documents following Head quarter’s policies and local regulations, and ensure that those are comprehensive and up-to-date;
  • Ensure decision-making processes are appropriate with company’s objectives;
  • Coordinate and provide support to events such as internal audit;
  • To undertake other tasks as agreed with the GM

SKILLS | EXPERIENCE | KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong HR knowledge – ability to interpret Awards and understanding of current employment legislation.
  • An inclusive leadership style that creates an exceptional workplace culture.
  • A commitment to delivering results, solving complex problems, identifying process improvement.
  • Confidence to operate as a trusted adviser to senior leaders on a range of people issues during periods of transformation and change.
  • Be able to cover administrative/ practical/ operational tasks.
  • Japanese language is plus but not mandatory
  • A minimum of 5 years generalist HR experience.
  • Working experience in local subsidiary companies a plus.
