What Will You Do?

In this key role you will work closely with operational leaders to uncover deep insights and drive implementation of the right business solutions.

The role will need a combination of business focus, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition to advanced analytic skills, this role is also proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets, architecting specialised database and computing environments, and communicating results in a way that can be easily understood by business counterparts.

To achieve this, you will:

• Understand the decision-making process, workflows, and needs of stakeholders, then, translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements
• Be a subject matter expert in data science and assist the business in their understanding of advancements in data science
• Model and frame business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact on critical business processes and/or decisions.
• Make strategic recommendations on data collection, integration and retention requirements incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices
• Develop experimental design approaches to validate finding or test hypotheses.
• Research and implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence to make data analysis more efficient. Uses these techniques and tools to perform large-scale experimentation identifying hidden relationships between variables in large datasets

More About You

With your knowledge of Data Science, statistical modelling and machine learning, you:

• Leading analytic programs is very benefitial
• Will have a post graduate qualification in computer science, applied mathematics, operations research, statistics, machine learning, or other data centric discipline
• Will be deeply experienced with analytical methods, e.g. statistical modelling, machine learning and deep learning, mathematical optimisations (LP, MIP, genetic algorithms), agent-based and discrete-event simulations
• Have experience with a broad set of analytics tools, e.g. data manipulation (SQL, R, Python, Spark, Hadoop/Hive), machine learning (Python, R) and data visualisation (Tableau, PowerBI)
