About the role:

Newly created, this standalone role will be ideal for an experienced, well rounded talent professional who can effectively create and execute operational talent attraction, acquisition and retention activity, build and embed robust and valid recruitment processes and develop long term and sustainable talent strategies.  Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture and joining a team of committed HR professionals, you’ll provide expert recruitment and talent acquisition advice, service and support a variety of departments across head office and food processing, conveniently located at Cannon Hill.

This is a highly rewarding role that will make a genuine, long-term impact in this challenging market for labour and talent as you collaborate with GM P&C and senior leaders to develop and execute talent strategies.  You’ll thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment and enjoy operating autonomously applying best practice recruitment practices, using multiple methods of assessment, providing coaching on selection and interview techniques, building talent pipelines and proactively developing industry networks.  Day to day, you’ll be undertaking:

  • End to end recruitment activity and supporting administration
  • Proactive candidate management
  • Preparing job briefs, position descriptions, advertisements and interview guides
  • Executing onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Liaison with industry, schools, trade colleges and universities
  • Develop, implement, recruit and manage graduate programs
  • Engage with labour hire providers
  • Manage international visa programs and skilled labour pipeline
  • Contribute to People & Culture projects and company events
  • Undertake reporting and insightful data analysis

About you:

You’ll be a high energy team player who enjoys variety and juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders within a culturally diverse workforce.  Along with previous exposure within a supply chain/manufacturing environment, you’ll bring:

  • 5 years demonstrated end to end recruitment experience across variety of corporate, trades and blue collar industries
  • Exceptional skills in behavioural based interviewing techniques and the ability to coach others
  • Understanding of labour hire providers
  • Ability to quickly build working knowledge of visa application and management
  • Extensive knowledge using cloud-based Recruitment/ATS (Oracle an advantage)
  • Ability to create, build and embed best practice recruitment processes, ensuring equality and diversity
  • Experience in change management
  • Ability to use data and metrics to provide insightful reporting and trend analysis
  • Highly developed written communications and excellent ad writing ability
  • Intermediate to advance ability using Microsoft office suite

This role is particularly well suited to a talent specialist with experience and/or exposure to generalist human resources activities who is willing to learn more in this area and provide support and coverage to the broader P&C team when needed.
