  • Full time, 12 month Fixed Term opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Partner (Change)
  • Provide HR expertise supporting critical change activities in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Base Salary $138,799 + 17% employers superannuation contribution

About the opportunity

The HR Partnering function is in a period of significant development, striving to achieve an integrated service offering aligned with the University’s ambitious workforce strategy and organisational design objectives. Working towards the 2032 Strategy with numerous upcoming change programs, we are seeking an experienced Senior HR Partner (Change) to lead end-to-end change plan activities spanning a number of key professional and academic client groups.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • partner with business sponsors, HR Partners, executive leaders, project managers and key stakeholders to lead strategic and operational planning around change activities
  • take a lead role in collaborating with peers across HR Centres of Expertise, in designing and presenting robust and client-focused solutions
  • develop tailored strategic and operational solutions for executive leaders across your client group spanning areas of talent and succession management, workforce planning, organisational design, reward and recognition and workplace culture
  • lead initiatives to build capability within the HR workforce which includes effective delegation, coaching and implementation of industry best practice frameworks, technology and processes.
  • Take a lead role in overseeing the pipeline of change and working with the Director, HR Partnering to monitor key metrics associated with change.

About you

Deploying your strong organisational development toolkit, HR Generalist skills and change management experience, you will support your clients in the delivery and execution of significant people-focused transformation programs and change plans, by providing Industrial Relations, Workforce Planning, advising on Enterprise Agreement commitments and organisational design expertise.

  • extensive experience as a senior HR professional within a large and multifaceted organisation (ideally within a tertiary environment of within a Centre of Expertise model)
  • significant change management and project management, and delivery experience across various HR capabilities and processes
  • a high degree of capability working with and interpreting complex Industrial elements, enterprise agreements, awards and relevant policies
  • elevated ability to build and manage trusted client relationships with tact and professionalism at the senior level
  • exceptional partnering skills as you will be liaising with the wider HR Partnering team and other HR functions to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach to service delivery
  • highly developed influencing skills in relation to external stakeholders, including government bodies, union groups and university sector groups to drive positive outcomes in the interest of the University.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
