About the role

In this key leadership role you will lead the Australian Field Sales Team for Selleys Retail servicing a diverse range of accounts including Bunnings, Independent Hardware Group (Mitre 10, Home Timber & Hardware, etc), Independent Hardware, smaller buying groups and Paint Specialists.  

You will set strategic direction for the team, partner with a range of internal stakeholders and lead the development and implementation of a range of systems and processes to maximise Field Sales Force effectiveness for Selleys Retail. This position is pivotal in steering strategic partnerships with our key customers working in collaboration with our Retail Key Account Teams.

You will lead a national team with five direct reports across Australia with a strong focus on both delivering safe, sustainable sales growth and maintaining a positive, can-do team performance culture. 

The role is based out of Clayton, Melbourne. We are open to the right person located in either Melbourne or Sydney.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high safety awareness in the team
  • Maintain a strong, can-do performance culture
  • Ensure delivery of sales budget and key financial measures
  • Implement frameworks and develop enablers for the field force to be more effective at accomplishing objectives
  • Work with commercial leadership team to develop and execute our commercial strategies

 Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and management field sales role
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders to create best commercial and financial outcomes
  • Proven ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive organisational change without direction
  • Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring
