As a passionate people person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our grounds & gardens at the Melrose Park Retirement Village. Working closely with the Community Manager and our maintenance team members, you will ensure that our gardens are perfectly manicured and well-presented for the residents and visitors to enjoy. The ideal candidate needs to have great gardening standards, enjoy working outdoors and have the ability to work autonomously. 

About the role: 

  • This is a permanent part-time role working Monday-Thursday 8-4pm 
  • You will be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
  • Attend to any gardening & maintenance requests by leaders and residents 
  • Ensure all community spaces are free of rubbish, debris and are safe for our community and visitors
  • Complete additional ad-hoc tasks around the community as needed
  • You’ll enjoy building strong relationships with the residents so they can enjoy well-maintained outdoor areas.

About you:

  • Previous experience in outdoor gardening, landscaping, maintenance, handyperson or nursery roles (highly desired)
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess one, we can complete for you)
  • Valid driver’s licence (required)
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date
