An exciting opportunity is presented for an individual with a solid background in nursing to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team. Situated in Naracoorte, located on the stunning Limestone Coastal region, you will have the chance to gain experience in a variety of areas. A multi-varied position where you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing direct person centred nursing/midwifery care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time. You will assess individual patient needs, plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. In addition, you will plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs. Practising as a Registered Nurse, you will provide with increasing capacity over time, support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care.

Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. Bringing evidence of consolidation of basic skills and knowledge in the clinical setting, you will be capable of providing comprehensive nursing care. This will include demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. A strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting. Sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting will also contribute to your success in this role.
