Located on the edge of Adelaide’s

CBD adjacent to the beautiful South Eastern Park Lands, St Andrew’s is the largest independent private Hospital in Australia, with 30,000 procedures being performed each year. Our patients are admitted electively or via our Emergency Service, and we cater for most surgical specialties including, but not limited to, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, urology, vascular, colorectal, orthopaedics, daVinci (Robotic) systems, breast and gynaecology,. Building on our successful base, in 2018 we completed a $50 million upgrade and expansion of our clinical facilities with more improvements planned for 2020 and beyond.

Our 4th Floor is a busy 50 bed surgical ward. Specialties include Neurosurgery, Ear-Nose and Throat, Spinal, Orthopaedics and Vascular.

About the role:

We are seeking Registered Nurses with  a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting on surgical wards to work on a casual or part-time basis and join our high performing team. You will have responsibility for the nursing plan of care, making patient care decisions and helping to solve nursing and nursing service problems. 

In addition to your recent and extensive experience in one of the clinical specialties listed above, you will need to demonstrate:

  • a commitment to delivering best practice patient care
  • well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • commitment to your continued professional development and clinical education
  • an interest in mentoring and educating our up-and-coming nursing students and graduates
  • the ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • current registration with AHPRA and the ability to legally live and work in Australia
  • Work hours will be negotiated with the successful candidates with St Andrews’ offering early, late and night shifts rostered flexibly across 10 or 14 day rosters, depending on the working area.
