We’re looking for a positive and motivated Payroll Clerk to join our National Payroll team. This diverse role requires someone who enjoys the challenging yet rewarding demands of a payroll environment. You will report directly to the National Payroll and Employee Relations Manager, who will coach you to grow your knowledge and abilities.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE…..

Ideally, your experience and skills would include:

• Experience with a high volume payroll – Sage MicrOpay highly regarded
• Time and Attendance software – RITEQ knowledge an advantage
• Analytical data interpretation of time sheets
• Maintenance of employee records 
• Ability to interpret Awards and relevant legislation
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• General admin tasks

 

ABOUT YOU….

The successful candidate will be a person who displays the following skills and attributes:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, MS Outlook and Word
• Sound knowledge of administrative procedures and the ability to multi-task
• Initiative in daily responsibilities and ownership of tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High attention to detail and be comfortable with repetitive tasks
• Enthusiastic work ethic
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thrives in a diverse role and taking on increasing responsibility
• Respectfully challenges convention and the way things are done
• Must be comfortable working independently as well as in a team
