About our homes in the Inner West: Ashfield Terrace Care Community – 132 bed care community centrally located in Ashfield. It is a very modern aged care home with an onsite cafe and many terraced balconies. It is within close proximity to public transport. Annandale Grove Care Community – 68 bed care community located in in the peaceful, leafy heart of Annandale with easy access to local cafes, transport options, and the CBD. Stanmore Place Care Community – 69 bed care community located in a quiet residential street of Stanmore. The home is just 5km from the CB and is close to public transport. About the opportunity: Opal are currently looking for Assistants in Nursing to join the care teams at one of our three care communities located in the Inner West; Annandale Grove, Ashfield Terrace and Stanmore Place.There are Permanent Part-Time and Casual work opportunities available. We are looking for team members who are flexible and willing to work a range of shifts including; Morning, Afternoon and Night Duty shifts. Please note: If you are successful you will be allocated to one Opal home only. You will not work across all three. Successful candidates will have: Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalentWork experience as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) in AustraliaKnowledge of aged care regulations and funding (ACFI)Knowledge of the 8 new aged care standards would be highly regarded, but not essentialEmpathy towards the needs of the frail aged (dementia care included) is essential along with your passion for delivering high quality care What you can expect from us: Industry leading hourly rates, 25% loading if employed casual and penalty rates for working weekendsAn RN-led model of care, with RNs on shift at all of our homes 24/7 A friendly, social and collaborative team environmentAbility to become a part of Opal Scholarships Program with intention for career progression into RN All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate via Opal’s police check system and undergo a pre-employment medical check.
