>Belconnen ACT, Sydney NSW, Brisbane QLD, Darwin NT, Adelaide SA, Perth WA, Hobart TAS, Docklands VIC, Dandenong VICThe key duties of the position include:The Australian Bureau of Statistics is seeking talented and enthusiastic people with various skills and experience to assist with planning, developing, testing, implementing and delivering Australia’s 18th Census of Population and Housing.We are seeking candidates who are interested in temporary (non-ongoing) work in one of our offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Dandenong, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. These positions are office based and may be filled at APS Levels 1-6 ($43,719 – $91,696) or Executive Level 1 ($99,756 – $115,316), plus superannuation and allowances.About the AreaThe next Census will be conducted in August 2021. The 2021 Census will provide the base for official counts of Australians and the dwellings in which they live. It will also provide a snapshot of the economic, social and cultural make-up of our nation, and help tell the story of how Australia has changed. The Census also provides the only opportunity to produce more comprehensive statistics on local communities and small population groups. Community groups, local councils, business, governments and researchers will use Census information to determine how billions of dollars are spent, and what services are delivered to support local and diverse communities. Positions are available across various levels and business streams within the 2021 Census Program.We’re looking for applicants to tell us about what skills, experience or qualifications they can bring to the 2021 Census. When a vacancy arises we will review applications to see if someone has the skills and experience we need.Employment contracts may vary from a few weeks up to 18 months initially with the possibility of extension depending on the business requirement of the ABS.
