Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Volunteer Coordinator to join our People Services team, working on a permanent part time basis (60 hours per fortnight) at Brightwater House, Osborne Park.Brightwater can offer you: The ability to salary package – meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home payOur unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailersPlus, a café, swimming pool, gymnasium and tennis court within the beautiful Garden Office Park complex, a short walking distance to Glendalough train station Reporting to the Manager, HR Operations you will be responsible for directing, coordinating and enhancing the Brightwater Buddies Volunteers Program to support a meaningful client experience through the contribution of volunteers. This involves proactively managing the attraction, retention, development and deployment of volunteers who are aligned to the Brightwater Mission, Spirit and overall organisational strategy.To be successful in this role you will have: Previous experience successfully coordinating volunteers or a volunteer program and demonstrated understanding of the volunteer sector.Excellent understanding of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement and the ability to translate these into processes, practices and volunteer engagement plans.A passionate commitment to making a difference to people’s lives and a working knowledge of person-centred care.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to liaise, consult and collaborate with diverse people to build successful relationships.Demonstrated knowledge of human resource management including experience in volunteer recruitment and selection, management and development.An optimistic, can-do attitude and the ability to work cohesively within a team environment that is flexible, adaptive and collaborative in the achievement of objectives, responding positively to challenges and changes.Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills and the ability to identify and implement quality improvement activities.Excellent computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and a satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.Evidence of up to date flu vaccination.Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening check.
