What is the role?OTR’s growth journey is just beginning… We are rapidly expanding our retail network and are looking for an exceptional Digital (UX/UI) Experience Designer to help create the user experience and interfaces for our next generation OTR App and website. Who are we?OTR is a National Fuel & Convenience Retailer and our aim is to make the lives of our guests easier. We are on an amazing growth trajectory as we grow Nationally from our current base of 160+ locations. Innovation is part of our DNA, with OTR being the first in Australia to deliver features such as payment of fuel at the pump through an app and the pre-order of Barista-made coffee via an App from a Fuel & Convenience brand.We are beginning development of our next generation digital customer value proposition and are looking for a talented and experienced professional to help shape our digital future.Read more about us here:https://www.otr.com.au/ https://www.peregrine.com.au/Your key contributions to our strategy: Engage with internal OTR stakeholders (eg. through workshops) to obtain input into the app interface design process and key integration points into the physical experienceEngage with customers and other external stakeholders (eg. through focus groups, user surveys)Assist with the comprehensive documenting of consumer requirements and business requirements, both functional and technicalTranslate requirements into customer journey flows and human-centred app screen designsProvide advice on ‘best practice’ human-centred design and act as the ‘subject matter expert’ in this fieldProduce wireframes, mockups and prototypes utilising UX/UI design tools (eg Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Figma, etc) What skills and experience does our ideal candidate have? 2-5 years of experience in user experience designExcellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with engineers and peer teamsDegree or equivalent experience in UX design or other user-centred design programExperience with multi-platform development, including Native Mobile, Responsive Web and Desktop ApplicationsFamiliarity with industry standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin and Jira A portfolio that demonstrates not only your visual designs, processes and thinking, but tells the story of what you contributed to the overall design processKnowledge of user-centered design methodologies and how to apply them What’s in it for you?Where do we start?
