The OpportunityDue to growth in our Western Region, our Tom Price branch has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter to join our team. The key focus of this role will be to provide breakdown, service and planned maintenance support on a range of Hitachi Construction and Mining equipment.Working a 2/1 or 3/1 FIFO roster, you will: Perform onsite repairs on a wide range of Hitachi equipmentAttend to site breakdowns within Tom Price and surrounding areasUndertake diagnostic workLiaise with a network of customers within the territory, whilst building strong relationshipsWork with internal technical support staff to achieve successful maintenance This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. To be successful in this role you will: Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within – safety takes priority over everything elseHold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) mobile plant trade qualificationsHave experience, knowledge and understanding of civil and mining equipmentHave a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously within remote areasHave good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationshipsHave great technical knowledge and diagnostic ability (excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageous) Benefits Work with a global leader and make a big difference in a company that stands in its own right.
