Based in UniSA Allied Health and Human Performances at the City West Campus
2 x 18 month, part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed term contracts
Salary $88,851 pro rata (plus superannuation)

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Research Fellow, the Research Associate will contribute to the research efforts of The Cancer Epidemiology and Population Health Research Group, particularly in relation to the project entitled Developing a Prostate Cancer Outcomes Report Card.

Core Responsibilities

Contribute to the planning and the execution of research
Interact with large scale databases and statistical software packages (e.g. Stata) for data management and analysis of epidemiological data
Drafting reports, abstracts, papers, and other instruments providing accounts of research undertaking and the findings observed
Preparing reports/slides for presentation to relevant government and non-government organisations
Contribute to the preparation and development of grant applications, including undertaking power calculations, pilot analyses, literature searchers, and other tasks, as required

Essential Skills and Experience

Undergraduate qualifications with honours in a relevant field
Knowledge and understanding of principles and concepts related to epidemiology
High level quantitative analysis skill using Stata or other relevant statistical software
A developing record of research achievement as demonstrated by publications, conference papers and other research activities
High-level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information effectively and clearly
Ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach to working as part of a multi-disciplinary research organisation.
