Duties include rodent surgery, behavioral and physiological testing, molecular analysis of intracellular signaling pathways, data organization and analysis (using spreadsheet, graphics, and statistical packages). Coordinating activities of laboratory members that are junior, acting as lead contact on collaborative interlab projects, participating in scientific discussions about experimental design and interpretation of results, involvement in manuscript preparation, and input on current and future experimental design. Position is contingent on continued funding.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesIndependently conduct behavioral and physiological testing and rodent surgeryData organization and analysis, presentation of data and statistical modeling ​Coordinate/supervise activities of graduate assistants and undergraduate research assistants; serve as a resource for questions/guidance. ​Serve as the lead point of contact for collaborative interlab projects. ​Perform additional job related duties as assigned ​Manuscript editing, and preparation ​Contribute to newly informed experimental design ​​Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Course work in Biology/Psychobiology/Neuroscience and laboratory experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently with attention to detail. Strong PC skills in MS office and related databases. Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines is essential.
