  • Four Walk-in Centres: which provide free treatment for minor illness and injury.
  • Six community health centres: providing a range of general and specialist health services to people of all ages.
  • A range of community based health services including Early Childhood Services, Youth and Women’s Health, Dental Health, Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Services.
  • Overview of the work area and positionChild and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 18 years who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues.The CAMHS community teams are made up of multidisciplinary mental health professionals who provide assessment treatment and clinical management within a recovery framework.This role will manage the office/administrative aspects of the community-based team by provision of high-quality customer service to people accessing CAMHS Services, their networks and to Canberra Health Services Health personnel.ABOUT YOUCHS is committed to workforce diversity and to creating an inclusive workplace.   • Must hold a current driver’s licence.
  • Experience in working within the mental health sector.
  • Desirable:

  • Experience in working with children and young people.
  • Experience with medical terminology would be an advantage.
  • Prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

  • Undergo a pre-employment National Police check.
  • Note: This is a part-time temporary position available for a period of 12 months at 18 hours per week. The full-time salary noted above will be paid pro-rata. The successful candidate will be required to be available to work within all program areas of CAMHS as service needs arise and work part-time for 2.5 days a week, during business hours Monday to Friday. An Order of Merit may be used to fill future identical temporary vacancies across CAMHS within a 12-month period. Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only.
