Islington is seeking a casual and experienced kitchen crew to join our team

Islington is a 11 room boutique hotel that offers breakfast 7 days per week and dinner 4 times per week. You would be required to work over a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and be ready to work by yourself and in a team confidently and comfortably.

You must be passionate and creative, friendly, and ready to deliver a personalized service. Islington is a small team, and a good, hard-working attitude is essential for this roll.

Essentials for this roll:

  • 2+ years previous experience working in a similar property
  • Flexible availability
  • Be reliable and a team player
  • Food presentation skills and food knowledge;
  • Passion for cooking;
  • Minimizing food waste and promoting sustainability;
  • Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Influencing food costs via portion control, waste minimization and stock control.
  • Take overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations
