Description Work for Australia’s strategic high performance sporting agency Great location – Free parking Exciting, challenging and dynamic work environment The Australian Institute of Sport is responsible for leading and enabling a united high performance system supporting Australian athletes and National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) to achieve international podium success.The focus of this role is to ensure AIS Sports Science related programs and projects are based on high calibre scientific evidence; positioned for current and future competitive advantage; aligned with system priorities and meet the quality, ethical and integrity expectations of the Australian high performance sport system. To be successful in this role you will need the following: Degree or higher qualification and demonstrated senior level experience in leading multidisciplinary sports science / performance support teams. Demonstrated strong understanding of and experience in the HP sport environment or other HP area. Highly credible and collaborative leader with demonstrated ability to bring diverse teams together to achieve shared objectives. Demonstrated success in project management. Experience in scientific research with knowledge of management of research ethics requirements and integrity issues. Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making. Demonstrated high level experience in managing financial resources, risk management, business planning and strategy development. Experience managing cultural change.
