>Canberra ACT, Sydney NSW, Melbourne VIC, Brisbane QLD, Adelaide SA, Perth WA, Darwin NT, Hobart TAS, Townsville QLDThe key duties of the position include:The Enforcement Division bears primary responsibility for the ACCC’s investigation and enforcement activities. The Division’s activities directly support the ACCC’s role in promoting competitive and informed markets and fair trading practices, and contribute directly to protecting customers.The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of interesting matters across a range of industries with the potential to be involved in litigation, enforceable undertakings and other enforcement and compliance matters. Role and Duties Under supervision from EL and APS6 staff, Investigators may: review information and data obtained by the ACCC from businesses and consumers, and draw sound conclusions from the analysis of that material, draft a range of documents, to deadline including, file notes, witness statements, 155 notices, EC and Commission papers, obtain relevant information and intelligence from complainants and other sources by way of calls, meeting and research, draft accurate, concise and effective external correspondence (including to complainants, traders under investigation and other sources of information) that is suitable for the intended audience, make suggestions on logical next steps, understanding the reasons for decisions and recommendations, complete organisational and administrative tasks, including preparation of project plans, updating investigation management systems, creating and keeping functional records, review of legal invoices and assisting with associated tasks relating to 155 notices, work collaboratively within a team of investigators, legal advisers, economists, analysts and other specialists, andprepare and deliver internal presentations that are clear and use suitable language for the audience, and demonstrate an ability to respond effectively to questions.RecruitAbility applies to this vacancy.
