For over 40 years Chandler Macleod’s recruitment business has connected leading-edge projects and employers with outstanding business professionals.Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4/5 Executive Assistant on a contract until December 2021 with potential extension of 12 Months.Position Overview The EA positions are required within the client to support the Assistant Secretaries. The EA role is responsible for coordinating, supporting and scheduling activities across their Branch and the IT Division as required.Duties & Responsibilities:Manage of Executive appointments and priorities ensuring co-ordination of daily activities, arranging meetings and briefing materials, workflow, travel and calls.Manage the inbox including identifying items for action, developing a prioritisation process and filing emails as required.Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, reports and documents in a concise manner with high attention to detail.Support the Executives travel, including arranging domestic travel and accommodation including all supporting information.Work with other members of the Executive Office to ensure the ongoing efficient operation of the Division.Review and improve existing systems and processes.Develop and maintain effective relationships with key contacts and relevant internal and external stakeholders.Assist in the preparation and coordination of correspondence including that required by the Ministers office.Develop a knowledge and appreciation of the key relationships for the business and coordinate communication with them as required.Lead and coordinate the Executive Support Team including the development of standards, training, coordination and processes.Share ideas and improvements constructively and openly.Role modelling the Divisions vision, values and culture.Skills & Experience:Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively independently and as part of the teamTimely completion and delivery of work packages / tasksGood quality design and build deliverables as demonstrated by the outcomes of peer reviews.Mandatory Requirements:The successful candidate will be required to have (or have an ability to obtain) a Baseline security clearance.If you feel you are a suitable candidate submit your application by hitting “Apply for this job”.
