Field Service Diesel Technician / Mechanic

We are seeking a trade qualified Field Service Diesel Technician to join our William Adams team based out of our Burnie branch.  This is a full-time permanent position, working a 7 x 7 (Thursday to Wednesday, 12 hour day) roster. ABOUT THE ROLE  Reporting to the Field Service Coordinator, you will provide same day, safe breakdown repair services for our customer’s onsite equipment.  Your typical day will look a little like this:Onsite technical troubleshooting and fault finding including; diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on Cat equipment and their components; hydraulics, transmissions and engines   Providing outstanding customer service to our loyal customersCompiling and completing accurate reportingWorking autonomously to manage your time and maximise efficiencyMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentLiaising with our internal service and parts departmentMaintaining a William Adams service vehicleWorking alongside a dedicated Field Service support teamABOUT YOU  You will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes to the role:A fully qualified Diesel Technician with practical experience in the fieldA proactive and positive attitude, with strong work ethicPrevious experience working on Cat machineryEffective time managementA strong commitment to safety, health & environment proceduresCurrent drivers’ licence (must have)Experience with Cat computer diagnostics (great to have)Ability to pass a pre-employment D&A screen and functional assessmentWHAT IS ON OFFER?…A base rate between $39 – $45 per hour (dependent on roster & skill level) +superA field service vehicle to be utilized while rostered onUniform and overalls supplied plus PPETool Allowance & Tool LoansOvertimeCat parts store discountOngoing training & developmentRelocation assistance up to $5000 for eligible candidatesWork life balanceCareer progression opportunitiesAutonomy & varietyTrade upgrade opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Referral Program – refer a mate & receive up to $1000Discounts with ANZ, Avis, Burson Auto Parts, Ford and many more!If you are looking to join a successful and stable employer, with plenty of work in the pipeline, William Adams is the place to be! APPLY TODAY!! Or for any questions, please call Samantha on 03 9566 0691.
