>Canberra ACTThe key duties of the position include:The Treasury is looking for a Senior Executive Assistant. In this role, you will perform a range of executive support and administrative activities to support the Deputy Secretary in their delivery of functional requirements, including managing the Deputy Secretary’s diary, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, reports and briefing documents and making relevant travel arrangements. The Senior Executive Assistant requires excellent written and oral communication skills and will need to be extremely proficient in a range of computer based applications in order to develop written reports, correspondence and presentations. Working in a high pressure environment with competing demands, the Senior Executive Assistant will have exceptional time management and prioritisation skills, maintain a high degree of confidentiality and provide advice on behalf of the Deputy Secretary in a timely manner.The Senior Executive Assistant will have the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with staff, clients and key stakeholders, be able to respond effectively to enquiries, and provide advice as required. Duties:Provide high-level administrative assistance to the Deputy Secretary.Undertake and lead a range of high-level administrative tasks and logistics that support Treasury business including: telephone management, email management, scheduling tasks, records management, manage finance and budgets, human resources, procurement, meeting and event management, and travel and accommodation. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and negotiate and provide advice on behalf of the Deputy Secretary.Provide operational technical advice and support to Treasury staff and senior management.Lead and direct new and junior staff, setting clear expectations and provide support for quality delivery.Develop and maintain complex internal and external relationships with stakeholders, providing appropriate advice and managing the resolution of issues or complaints.Utilise systems, computer based applications and other tools and develop complex workplace documents (e.g. briefings, reports and correspondence).Develop and manage information resources (e.g. procedures, processes and documents).Manage or coordinate a program, project or initiative.Lead the decision making and planning within the work area, fostering and supporting Team/Division/Group goals and objectives, andParticipate in a roster system to ensure the Executive has support coverage from 08:00-17:30 each working day.Desirable Qualifications / ExperienceExperience in providing executive and administrative support to senior executive officers, or to those in equivalent roles, is highly desirable. EligibilityEmployees of the Treasury are required to be Australian citizens and must hold a current security clearance or successfully complete a clearance prior to commencement.RecruitAbility applies to this vacancy.
