EL 2 – Strategic Content Writer McArthur is partnering with a federal government agency who are seeking an experienced EL 2 strategic content writer to work in a dynamic team environment to produce, write, edit, customise, and manage content for the delivery of the Strategy. This will include producing key briefing material to the Executive both internally and across Government. Role specific tasks/responsibilitiesIn this role you will be required to write clear, concise, and accurate material, including: Ministerial SubmissionsBriefs, Reports and Talking PointsExecutive reports and project updatesBlogs, Media Releases and Social Media ContentSpeechesWhole of government Strategy and policy documentsSupporting documentation such as guidelines and plansStrategic Documents including the StrategyA key focus of the role with be development of Cabinet submissions. Note: You will also be heavily involved in the coordination of cabinet submissions and therefore will need experience with its process. Skills and experienceTo be considered for the position, you will need: Excellent content development, writing and editing skills, including strong experience in producing government submissions, executive briefs, strategies, and reports.Demonstrated capability to research material and incorporate supporting evidence to write with influence at all levels, upholding the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.Proven experience with APS policy and processes, with an emphasis on writing cabinet submissions and ministerial briefs.Demonstrated experience in working with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines to ensure effective and timely communication.outstanding writing and editing skills.demonstrated experience in developing executive communication, succinctly and on time. proven experience in writing ministerial briefs, cabinet submissions and new policy proposals.ability to research material and incorporate supporting evidence into all forms of written communication. Eligibility Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).To be eligible for employment within the agency, applicants must be an Australian citizen.You will be required to hold an existing Australian Police check prior to commencement.
