Your new role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Research Administrator to join our team, and provide assistance and advice to enable researchers and the University to meet its ethical, regulatory and legal obligations to conduct research.     This position supports the delivery of Curtin’s research strategy by administering processes and making decisions on rules and entitlements.  You will provide a high level of general administrative and secretariat support whilst applying your knowledge of ROC policies and procedures, processes and systems.     In this role you will be Conducting the preliminary assessment and classification of research ethics applications, and processing applications based on risk level. Monitoring and ensuring compliance of research ethics applications including annual and completion reporting. Providing Secretariat duties to relevant committees. Managing enquiries regarding research ethics applications. Providing and coordinating training for researchers, students and other stakeholders. Conducting records management, including archiving and advice to researchers about relevant disposal authorities. You will bring to the role A degree; or a diploma with considerable relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Commitment to the implementation of best practice, continual improvement and client focused service delivery standards to deliver effective and efficient customer service. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines in a high volume environment. Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in a wide range of applications including word processing, spreadsheet packages and email.
