About the role

A Cadetship with Brickworks will equip you with the experience, knowledge and skills to move into a full-time position with us upon graduation.

We are recruiting an undergraduate Science or Engineering student to join the SA Austral Bricks team. The position is casual (approx. 1 day a week during term time) and will be based at our Golden Grove Brick Plant in Adelaide. You will focus on innovation projects, raw materials development and process improvement projects. The role will be broad and hands-on and you will gain diverse experience within the laboratory and factory including quality control, product development, process improvement and WHS.

Success Requirements

We are keen to hear from Engineering and Science undergraduates in your 2nd 3rd or 4th year of study.

We value diversity of thinking, experiences and perspectives and while a strong academic record and some previous work experience (even in an unrelated field) is important, we are looking for many other qualities. We have a clear vision and values, and we are looking for people who embody them.

We are looking for people who:

•Are currently studying towards a Degree in Science or Engineering
•Be available to work at least one day a week during term time.
•Have a strong motivation to learn and develop.
•Demonstrate leadership potential (either through their work experiences and/or extra-curricular activities).
•Can build relationships and interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
•Have a high attention to detail.
•Are achievement oriented and driven to deliver results through their resourcefulness.
•Are pragmatic and hands on in style.
•Have some form of reliable transportation due to the location of the site.
•Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
