Research Program Manager (12 Months Fixed Term)

SA Water is proud to deliver an important and essential service to 1.7 million customers every day. As SA Water’s Research Program Manager, you will lead the end-to-end process to deliver research programs that are innovative, environmentally sound, cost effective and safe. Strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be your hallmark to success in this role so you’ll need demonstrated ability to build, maintain and improve working relationships and an ability to influence and empower our stakeholders. Key responsibilities include : Effectively engage with internal business partners to identify knowledge gaps and research needs Participate in prioritisation of programs to align with business needs Work with research providers (internal and external subject matter experts) to develop project proposals and plans and present them to approving bodies Monitor program portfolios to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget Manage the interface between research providers and business partners to ensure required outcomes are achieved Assist in the delivery of research outcomes to the business in a form that aids uptake into the business Skills, Knowledge and Experience Tertiary qualification in science, management or other relevant discipline, or significant demonstrated experience Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build, maintain and improve working relationships both internally and externally Knowledge of contemporary research practices and processes Benefits If you want to work within a diverse, customer-centred business, filled with passionate and self-motivated people, where fresh thinking is valued and innovation is embraced, we want to hear from you.
