Classification:  ANU Officer Grade 8 (Administration) Salary package:  $99,612 – $106,517 per annum plus 17% Superannuation Terms: Full Time, Continuing Position overview The Deputy Manager, Research Office is a key advisor to the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) senior management and academic staff on complex research management activities. The Deputy Manager provides high level advice, guidance and support in the design, development, and implementation of research management practices. The Deputy Manager plays a key role in research management planning and delivery, and the resolution of complex research management matters, managing a team of Research Services professionals to deliver high quality and robust research services that supports both the CASS and the ANU strategic goals. The successful candidate will be: Highly skilled and knowledgeable in contemporary research management practices at Universities Holding excellent and proven people management and coaching skills Comfortable providing high level strategic research management advice to senior researchers and managing complex stakeholder relationships Experienced in implementing, managing and improving operational processes, policies and plans Motivated by enabling world class arts, humanities and social sciences research for the benefit of society The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 57 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both.
