This is a part time-fixed term position, working 64 hours per fortnight, based at one of the following surgical clinical areas:Emergency General Surgery (3S)Colorectal and Hepatobiliary Surgery (3SW)General Medical and Gastroenterology (5N)Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) & Plastics (7SE)Orthopaedics (7SW)Vascular, Ophthalmology, Urology, BOE (9W)The Royal Melbourne Hospital is offering a 12 month Acute Care Post Graduate Nursing course in conjunction with our affiliate partner La Trobe University. This course follows a professional development framework which supports nurses in developing higher-order clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, specialised clinical proficiency and exceptional communication skills required to care for the complex acutely unwell patient.Applications are now open for the Graduate Certificate in Acute Care Nursing – Surgical Stream. This course is open to Registered Nurses who have successfully completed a Graduate Nurse Program.
