• Work within the STEM Education Research Centre (SERC)• UC Level 6 Salary Range: $81,116 – $87,319 plus Super• Fixed Term Full Time Opportunity until 24 December 2021The University of Canberra is a dynamic university with great ambition. The universities success in research and education has been internationally recognised, resulting in UC becoming the world’s fastest rising university (QS, 2019).The SERC is looking for a Research Assistant that will support work and research initiatives undertaken by Professor Tom Lowrie (Centenary Professor) and Dr Tracy Logan on an Australian Research Council funded project titled, “Equity and Spatial Reasoning: Reducing the mathematics achievement gap in gender and social disadvantage.”The Research Assistant will need to have experience in educational and/or psychological research preferably in the Tertiary Education environment and with good interpersonal skills to work with both academics and professional staff from across university, as well as partner organisations. Understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods is an advantage.The successful applicant will be an analytical thinker, have experience in data analysis, use their own initiative and be an independent worker.
