Take a look at career opportunities at Viasat today.Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will assist with the provision of everyday business support and administrative activities to ensure that the Government & Defence team is able to function to its full potential. This role requires a high level of personal organisation and stellar inter-personal skills with the ability to build strong relationships inside and outside of Viasat. You will be a key representative of the company and will often be the first contact with new customers visiting the Brindabella Park facility. You will also help in the establishment and maintenance of processes (office administrative, support to Operations, work flow etc.) to facilitate its smooth operation.Requirements5+ years proven work experience as an Office Administrator or similar roleDemonstrated experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Ability to work in a team and autonomously in a highly professional environmentProven experience with planning and organisational skillsSolid communication skills and must be able to deal with multi-discipline Viasat teams and senior industry, Defence and Government officialsAbility to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvementsDemonstrated ability to work independently Proven ability to independently develop and determine approaches to solutions in a practical and creative mannerAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levelsWillingness to constantly update knowledge in a dynamic environmentAbility to handle multiple, concurrent tasks, which have competing demandsExperience with marketing, bid development and project administrationGeneral knowledge of basic Australia employment practices (Absence Management, Holiday, Time-Keeping, Employee Records)Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skillsAustralian Citizenship requiredNV1 Level 1 current security clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasiblePreferencesExperience in working for a multi-national organisation, especially one based in the USAHands-on experience with Oracle softwareExperience with Microsoft Sharepoint administrationExperience as a DISP Security AdviserExperience in facilities administration !
