Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) Monash Health

We are looking for RUSONs (students in year 2 and year 3 of Bachelor of Nursing- including double degree) to support the nursing team in the delivery of safe and effective care. You will be an integral part of our workforce during the ongoing management of COVID normal which includes the vaccination roll out. The RUSON works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife at all times, within their level of education and assessed competencies and also under clearly defined role parameters.

    About You

  • Enrolled in the second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing/ Bachelor of Midwifery or other double degree with Bachelor of Nursing component, with student registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA
  • Be able to provide a transcript of evidence of successful completion of first year undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing qualification from an Australian University.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including relationship building, team cooperation, and conflict resolution.
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents, patients and family members
  • Caring, pro-active, engaging manner with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work AM and PM shifts across a 7 days rotating roster (around clinical placements)
  • Chose the your preferred region of work such as Berwick, Dandenong or Clayton.
