About the Facility and Unit

550 bed facility providing services across Cardiac, Neuro, burn, Paediatrics, Neonatal, and high risk OB, ED and Mental Health

Modern centre that has recently completed major renovations – Several inpatient and outpatient areas associated Mental Health Services

Opportunities to rotate within the mental health service to other similar units and gain interesting experience

The collaborative team includes Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Occupational therapists, Registrar’s, Social Worker’s, Speech pathologists, and admin support

About You

At least two years current experience in a mental health setting

Mental health qualification from an Australian university, or equivalent qualifications recognised from the UK, Ireland, Canada, or New Zealand

A post graduate degree or diploma in mental health, alcohol and other drugs or forensics

Comfortable working in a team environment and ability to be adaptive

Experience with severe mental health cases is essential

Comfortable operating on a floor managed by a Nurse Unit Manager
