We’re actively engaged with our large Federal Government client who are looking for experienced HR Advisor to commence a 12 months contract. Citizenship requirements: Australian citizens are eligible to apply What to expect: The HR Advisor is responsible for supporting the People and Capability team in the delivery of high-quality services to the employees and senior management team. The position plays a critical role in supporting the team’s HR Business Partners.Assist the HR Business Partners with written and verbal advice, coaching, feedback and support to the business, to effectively manage the full employee life cycle.Contributing to the development and review of HR, Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Learning and Development Policies and Procedures.Managing learning events in accordance with training processes – room bookings, technology, resources, printing, producing materials and facilitator needs during learning events.Assist with the review, updating, development and review of online and in-house training programs.Coordinating the WHS Management System (WHS register, hazards, risks, incident investigations, training, ergonomic assessment coordination etc)Assisting the P&C team with budget monitoring and reporting.Maintaining People & Capability content on the intranet.Assisting the P&C team with annual work plan deliverables and projects.Developing and maintaining work area instructions related to your areas of responsibility. About you: HR/WHS experienceExperience with Learning and DevelopmentExperience working in a fast paced, industrially complex environment where the management of high volumes of work, with varying levels of complexity are a regular occurrenceAn ability to apply your knowledge to enable employee engagement and inclusion, improvement of Agency effectiveness, performance management and human resource planning.Well-developed customer service skills and a proactive approach to tasks and problem resolution.Understanding of legislative requirements of the public sector, or an ability to quickly build this knowledge.Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, and to apply privacy principles in accordance with legislationPlease note, due to the volume of applicants to this role, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
