Eligibility: Open to Everyone Central Adelaide Local Health Network – The Royal Adelaide HospitalTotal Indicative Remuneration RN-2 $86,132/$108,874Part-time working 15 hours per week and temporary up to 30/6/21 The Research Nurse (RN) is accountable to the Nursing Director Cardiology/Clinical Trial Manager via the Study Principal Investigators for the provision of undertaking clinical trial nursing activities. The primary purpose of this position is to provide high level research nurse activities and collaboration for the Cardiology Heart Research Team. You will be a critical contact person for day to day conduct of studies, attend and perform participant visits and schedule visits and procedures. You will oversee and advocate for all the participants and families in studies, ensuring their safety. In addition to this you’ll assist with participant recruitment, learn ethics application processes, and adverse event reporting. The RN works within a team in coordination of all study activities with the direction of the clinical Principal Investigator (PI). While the PI is primarily responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the clinical trials, the RN conducts of clinical research activities through coordinating the delivery of direct and indirect care utilising both clinical and administrative skills for and associated clinical trials, investigator initiated research and clinical quality registries. These activities are to be carried out in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines; the National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) standards; the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA); National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations. Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practising certificateHolds a current Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Nursing ScienceDemonstrated Cardiology Nurse research with a minimum 2 years work experience in Cath labs and/or interventional programs; or an equivalent combination of relevant Cardiology experience and/or education/training Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and compliant Immunisation screening.
